노인복지관 새단장을 통해 쾌적한 노인 여가문화 인프라 구축
계룡시(시장 이응우)는 22일 계룡시노인복지관 본관 리모델링 및 신관 준공식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이날 준공식에는 이응우 계룡시장, 김범규 계룡시의회 의장을 비롯한 어르신 및 지역관계자 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 축하공연을 시작으로 사업 경과보고, 유공자 표창, 기념사 및 축사, 현판식 순으로 진행됐다.
2008년 개관한 계룡시노인복지관은 15년간 안정적으로 운영되어 왔으나 이용 인원 증가에 따른 공간 협소 및 시설 노후화 등 다양해진 노인복지 욕구 충족에 어려움을 겪어 왔다.
이에 시에서는 노인복지 증진을 위해 지난 21년부터 3년에 걸쳐 18여억 원의 사업비를 투입해 연면적 824㎡ 규모로 노인복지관 신관 건립사업을 진행했다.
이번 공사로 지하1층 주차장과 지상1층 사무실, 당구장을 새롭게 마련했으며 동시에 노인복지관 본관의 경로식당 및 탁구장 공간 확장, 4층 누수 공사 등 리모델링을 추진하여 어르신들이 보다 안전하고 쾌적하게 여가시간을 보낼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
권주현 노인복지관장은 “노후된 시설을 개선해 복지관 어르신들에게 쾌적한 환경에서 양질의 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 되어 기쁘다”고 말했다.
이응우 시장은 “새로 단장한 복지관에서 어르신들이 안전하고 편안한 여가생활을 영위하시기 바란다”며, “앞으로도 어르신 복지증진에 다양한 노력을 기울이겠다”고 말했다.

The completion ceremony was attended by more than 100 people, including Gyeryong Mayor Lee Eung-woo, Gyeryong City Council Chairman Kim Bum-kyu, senior citizens and local officials, starting with a congratulatory performance, followed by a business progress report, recognition of meritorious people, commemorative speeches and congratulations, and a plaque ceremony.
The Gyeryong Senior Citizens' Welfare Center, which opened in 2008, has been operating stably for 15 years, but has faced difficulties in meeting the diverse needs of the elderly, such as narrowing space and aging facilities due to the increase in the number of users.
In order to improve the welfare of the elderly, the city invested 18 billion won in project costs over three years from the past 21 to build a new building with a total area of 824㎡.
With this construction, a parking lot on the first basement floor, an office on the first floor, and a billiard room were newly provided, and at the same time, remodeling such as expanding the space of the senior citizen's restaurant and table tennis hall in the main building of the senior welfare center and leakage work on the fourth floor are expected to make it safer and more comfortable for the elderly to spend their leisure time.
"We are pleased to be able to provide quality services to the elderly in a comfortable environment by improving the aging facilities," said Kwon Joo-hyun, director of the senior welfare center.
Mayor Lee Eung-woo said, "We hope that seniors will lead a safe and comfortable leisure life at the newly renovated welfare center," and added, "We will continue to make various efforts to promote the welfare of the elderly."
