청양군이 지난 20일 군청 상황실에서 김돈곤 군수와 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 ‘청양 구기자 전통농업 기록화 연구’에 대한 최종보고회를 열고 국가중요농업유산 등재 가능성을 점검했다.
군은 청양 구기자 농업의 역사적, 농업 유산적 가치를 영구적으로 기록할 필요가 있다고 보고 충남연구원과 함께 지난해부터 기록화 연구를 추진했다.
군은 문헌조사와 구술 채록, 현장 조사 등 다양한 방법으로 청양 구기자의 역사, 재배법, 전통 지식, 전통문화, 효능 등의 자료를 기록화하고 각종 학술․서적 자료, 공개 영상물, 신문 기사 자료 등을 확보해 결과물을 제작 공개했다.
이 연구로 확보된 자료는 향후 청양 구기자 전통농업의 국가중요농업유산 등재 신청 시 고증 자료로 활용할 계획이며, 청양 구기자 해설사 육성과 주민 교육, 홍보 및 학술자료로 활용할 계획이다.
김돈곤 군수는 “100년 역사의 청양 구기자 전통농업의 귀중한 가치를 다음 세대에 계승하기 위해서는 기록화 작업이 매우 중요했다”라며 “향후 청양 구기자 농업의 가치를 인정받고 체계적인 보전․관리가 될 수 있도록 국가중요농업유산 지정을 신청할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
Cheongyang County held a final report on the 'Cheongyang Goji Traditional Agriculture Documentation Project' at the county government's situation room on the 20th, attended by county governor Kim Don-gon and officials, to check the possibility of listing it as a national important agricultural heritage.
Cheongyang County saw the need to permanently record the historical and agricultural heritage values of Cheongyang's goji berry farming, and together with the Chungnam National Research Institute, the county has been conducting documentation research since last year.
The county recorded data on the history, cultivation methods, traditional knowledge, traditional culture, and efficacy of Cheongyang goji through various methods such as literature research, oral recordings, and field research, and secured various academic and book materials, public videos, and newspaper articles to produce and release the results.
The data secured through the research will be utilized as archival materials when applying for registration of Cheongyang Goji as a National Important Agricultural Heritage in the future, and will be used to train commentators on Cheongyang Goji, educate residents, promote, and use as academic materials.
"The documentation work was very important to pass on the valuable value of the 100-year-old Cheongyang Goji traditional agriculture to the next generation," said Kim Don-gon. "In the future, we plan to apply for the designation of National Important Agricultural Heritage so that the value of Cheongyang Goji agriculture can be recognized and systematically preserved and managed."
