사랑의 동전모으기 운동과 기관·단체 및 주민참여로 모인 350만 원 기부
계룡시 금암동지역사회보장협의체(민간위원장 최시철, 공공위원장 류지형)는 지난 20일 충남 사회복지공동모금회에 이웃사랑 성금 350만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
이번에 기탁한 성금은 올 한 해 동안 협의체에서 펼친 사랑의 동전 모으기 운동으로 모금된 성금과 금암동 통장협의회 및 주민자치위원회 등에서 전달한 성금을 비롯하여 기업체, 상점, 주민 등의 기부금으로 이루어졌다.
협의체는 나눔 실천의 일환으로 지난 2021년부터 꾸준히 사회복지공동모금회 희망나눔 캠페인에 참여하고 있다.
최시철 민간위원장은 “이번 성금 마련에 함께 해주신 금암동 주민과 상인, 기관단체에 진심으로 감사드린다”며, “모금된 성금이 도움이 필요한 이웃에게 전달되길 바란다”고 말했다.
류지형 동장은 “연일 강추위가 계속되고 있지만 십시일반 모아진 동전과 기부금을 보니 마음 한 켠이 따뜻해짐을 느낀다”며, “지역의 어려운 이웃을 돕기 위한 다양한 사업을 발굴·추진하겠다”고 말했다.
Gyeryong City's Geumam-dong Community Security Council (private chairman Choi Si-chul and public chairman Ryu Ji-hyeong) announced on the 20th that it donated KRW 3.5 million in donations for neighborly love to the Chungnam Social Welfare Community Foundation.
The donation was made up of donations from businesses, shops, and residents, including donations from the Geumam-dong Bank Account Council and the Resident Self-Governance Committee, as well as donations collected through the council's love coin collection campaign throughout the year.
The council has been participating in the Social Welfare Foundation's Hope Sharing Campaign since 2021 as part of its sharing practices.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the residents, merchants, and organizations of Geumam-dong who participated in this fundraiser," said Choi Si-chul, chairman of the civilian committee, "and I hope that the money raised will be delivered to neighbors in need."
"It's been cold every day, but the coins and donations collected at 10 o'clock make me feel warm inside," said Ryu Ji-hyung. "We will discover and promote various projects to help local neighbors in need."
