글로벌사이버대학교는 지난 12일 국가공인 브레인트레이너협회와 공동으로 <2022 브레인트레이너 컨퍼런스>를 공동 개최하고, 브레인트레이너협회, 한국뉴로카운슬링협회와 대한민국 두뇌산업 발전을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.
2010년 세계 최초로 뇌교육 학위과정을 만든 글로벌사이버대학교는 지난 10여년간 생애주기별 뇌활용 전문인력 양성체계를 구축해 왔으며, 올해 뇌교육 단과대학을 승격했다.
특히, 브레인트레이닝학과를 대학 최초로 신설하게 되면서, 뇌교육대학은 뇌교육학과, 브레인트레이닝학과, 치매전문케어 연계전공 등 2개 학과, 1개 복수학위 체계를 갖추게 된다.

교육부 국가공인 민간자격인 브레인트레이너는 두뇌기능 및 두뇌 특성평가에 관한 체계적이고 과학적인 이해를 기반으로 대상자의 두뇌능력 향상을 위한 훈련프로그램을 제시하고 지도할 수 있는 두뇌훈련 분야 유일 국가공인 자격증. 2009년 교육부 자격공인 이후, 약 4천여명이 취득했다.
브레인트레이너는 유아부터 노년까지 전 연령을 대상으로 인지기능 향상, 창의성 계발, 스트레스 관리, 정서조절 프로그램 등을 제공하며, 중장년, 노년층을 대상으로 하는 치매 예방 두뇌트레이닝은 중앙부처, 지자체 지원 프로그램으로 운영되고 있다. 특히, 떠오르는 웰니스 산업에서 심신훈련 및 코칭 전문가로 주목받고 있다.
